This piece gets its title from all the fish, swimming in every direction. It's a layered collage piece, which means that the background is collaged as well as the foreground. In this case, only two fabrics were used for the background - a very dark leaf print abstract and a fuchsia solid.

The foreground fish and flowers were individually cut from several different prints and heavily machine embroidered.

The underarm tab closures are held in place by fused glass buttons made by my friend Natalie Hahn of Redtail Glassworks.
