In the dark days of winter, dreams of spring and the energy of new life. The beadwork was started in Houston as something to keep my hands busy between events and finished at home to keep my hands busy while dealing with my husband's stroke. The resulting medallion was then mounted on the quilted background. This piece came to symbolize my hope for peace and serenity in the new year.
