The collage shards were fused to the background, then stitched before adding the heart/leaf applique. The heart/leaf is a hand carved stamp, printed with metallic fabric paint. Even when life seems to be in tatters, the important matters of the heart can still shine and glow; helping us to grow past our disappointments and setbacks.
