Vessel: Anything that will hold or contain anything else.
Shrine: Anything that commemorates or memorializes a person, place or event.
Reliquary: A combination of the two.
Sooner or later, my love of texture was going to lead me off the surface and into the realm of 3-D work. Many people have made simple bowls, like some found here. Some of the more vase-like structures were made using my pattern. And others are one-of-a-kind (until I decide to make another of the same shape). I am very much enjoying the process of working with soft fabrics to create a structure that will stand on its own, and playing with the embellishments, of course.
