A Frog’s Eye View

A Frog’s Eye View by Larkin Jean Van Horn
From the Individual Art Quilts Gallery
Size in inches: 22 x 23½

Price: $330

When I was a kid, I used to lie in the grass and get a bug's-eye view of the world. In this case, it's a frog's-eye view from his domain on the water's edge. But I don't think he's enjoying the serenity of the night or the elegant lines of the bridge. And he probably isn't musing about the beauty of the moon in the mist. He's thinking "Dinner!"

This quilt was created for "View From the Bridge", an invitational show of scenic La Conner, Washington mounted by the LaConner Quilt Museum, September 24 - December 28, 2003
