In March 2010, I had the opportunity to spend a few days in LaGrange, Texas at Karey Bresenhan’s ranch and creativity center. While my husband was occupied with other things, I had some time to play in the A.I.R. (Artist In Residence) space. The first few pieces of this series came to life there. These rounded, stone-shaped fabric mosaics began as an experiment with materials, and developed into explorations of color and movement.
Materials and techniques: Fused applique on wool felt, covered with tulle (with one exception) and machine stitched.
